Since 1987 Martijn de Jong mastered multiple Martial Arts such as Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Kyokushinkai Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Shooto, Dutch Kickboxing, Judo, Wrestling and Submission Fighting.
Because of his technical approach of Mixed Martial Arts during his active fighting career, he was given the nickname ‘The Specialist’. When he started his own academy, he called it “Tatsujin Dojo” which means “The Gym of The Specialist” in Japanese. Tatsujin Dojo produced many regional and even world champions like: Alistair Overeem, Marloes Coenen, Marcin Prachnio, Vincent Latoel, Anthony Engelen, Siyar Bahadurzada to name a few.
Since 2015, Martijn de Jong educated over 1400 trainers in South East Asia. He is the co-founder of Glory. The biggest Kickboxing organization in the world today.
